It designs, manufactures and sells optical networking components and subsystems. Its products expand optical bandwidth, amplify optical signals, monitor and protect wavelength performance, redirect light signals, ensure signal connectivity and provide signal transmission and reception within an optical network. It provides over 350 different products that are sold as components and modules, or are integrated into custom solutions. It provide customers with high quality optical subsystems and components that are used for bandwidth creation, bandwidth management, interconnect and transmission products. Its products and solutions can be applied to all segments of the fiber optic network infrastructure including long-haul networks, metropolitan area networks ('MANs'), local area networks ('LANs'), wireless backhaul, internet data centers and fiber-to-the-home ('FTTH') networks. It provides its solution and products to the exacting requirements of the world's optical networking equipment companies, and work closely with customers during the product design and development cycle. This provides it with the ability to respond to the volume production requirements of its customers when their systems are ready for commercial deployment. It is responsive to its customers' volume, quality and time-to-market requirements.
