So with that, it gives me great pleasure to introduce our keynote speaker this morning, Mr. John Hess, CEO of Hess Corporation.

Thank you all for being here this morning, most of all to Doug for your support over the years as you believed in us when other people didn't. And also, for the great hospitality and kindness and having us speak today. It's great to see all of you. I do think like Doug that the industry is at crossroads. We've been in a 5-year bear market, and it's starting to show its signs. And what I'd like to do today is speak about, first, the investment challenge facing the industry. Then talk about the role of supply, and I'll specifically focus on shale and the offshore deepwater. I know some of our colleagues get some of these areas as well. I'll also then talk about the role of demand today and longer term. And then the fourth area would be the role of investors, all of you,
