Throughout its history, the company has held a very concentrated portfolio with its vested capital only allocated in the stocks of a few select companies. SPO Advisory Corp is known for its investment in the 1990s and, even today, has continued to invest its assets in a very concentrated manner to form its portfolio. The company invests most heavily in the consumer discretionary sector, which alone makes up approximately a third of its total asset allocations, and also invests in the information technology and energy sectors, which each make up a quarter of its total allocated assets, and the finance sector, which is the smallest allocated sector that makes up its remaining holdings. SPO Advisory Corp has the highest amount allocated in the Equinix Inc Common Stock REIT New which alone makes up almost 18% of its holdings, and also has investments vested in Charter Communications Inc., Pioneer Natural Resources Co., Liberty Global Inc., and Charles Schwab Corp, which each make up over 10% of its holdings with its top 10 holdings making up 99% of its allocated assets.
