Holland Capital Management LLC is an investment management firm based out of Chicago. The company was established in 1991 and is currently headed by President, CIO, and CEO Monica Lynn Walker. Holland Capital Management has grown from its inception to now have 20 employees of which 6 are investment professionals. The firm is owned by its employees with the highest controlling majority held by CEO Monica L. Walker, who alone holds over a third of the total company ownership, with the remaining ownership split amongst Carl R. Bhathena, Andrew M. Topps, Stuart J. McDemott, Nicholas M. Zimmerman, Laura J. Janus, and other key executives. Holland Capital Management conducts its research internally and utilizes a fundamental methodology with both bottom up and top down investment approaches. The company invests in the public equity and fixed income markets within the U.S., focusing on the growth stocks of large and mid-cap companies. Holland Capital Management invests most heavily in the information technology sector, which alone makes up approximately a third of its total asset allocations, and also invests in the consumer discretionary sector, making up another fifth of its total allocations, health care, consumer staples, and industrials sectors, among others to a lesser degree, in order of decreasing allocation. The firm holds over $4.4 billion in total assets under management spread across 73 accounts, all of which are discretionary. Both of Holland Capital Management’s total number of accounts and total assets under management have been increasing in recent years with its total managed assets growing significantly from $1.3 billion back in 2010 to well over 3 times that amount today. The company caters to a variety of clients including pension and profit sharing plans, corporations, state or municipal entities, individuals, other client types, high net worth individuals, charities, and investment companies, in order of decreasing clientele.
