According to reports from tech media outlet MacRumors, Apple has reportedly canceled its plan to use a highly scratch-resistant, anti-reflective display coating for the iPhone 17 Pro series. The company initially intended to equip the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max with this advanced coating technology, marking the first time iPhones would feature anti-reflective display technology.
The latest updates suggest that Apple encountered production hurdles, with the technology's manufacturing process being too slow to meet the enormous demand for millions of devices each year. Despite restricting the technology to its Pro series models, Apple was unable to achieve the production targets set for this year.
