Tesla (TSLA, Financial) announced that the initial batch of its Semi electric trucks will be produced at the Nevada Gigafactory by the end of this year. The facility is expected to have an annual capacity of 50,000 vehicles. Tesla is preparing for large-scale production in the coming quarters and plans to gradually increase factory output next year.
Previously, there were rumors about Tesla's plan to ship Cybertruck and Semi parts from China to the U.S., which was put on hold due to U.S. tariffs. Last week, Tesla mentioned that it would reassess its growth forecast within the next three months due to difficulties in evaluating changes in global trade policies and their impact on the automotive and energy supply chains. Tesla also noted that shifts in market political sentiment could significantly affect the demand for its products.
