Palo Alto Networks (PANW), a leader in cybersecurity, has announced its intention to acquire Protect AI, a company specializing in securing AI and ML applications. This strategic move aims to bolster Palo Alto Networks' capabilities in addressing AI-specific security threats such as model manipulation, data poisoning, and prompt injection attacks.
The acquisition will enable Palo Alto Networks to integrate Protect AI's solutions into its newly launched Prisma AIRSâ„¢ platform, which is designed to provide end-to-end AI security throughout the development lifecycle. The comprehensive platform will offer features including model scanning, risk assessment, GenAI runtime security, posture management, and AI agent security.
