Bathija and Chavali will work closely with regional and global leadership to drive the success of Goldman Sachs' M&A operations. They will report to the co-heads of Asia-Pacific M&A, Raghav Maliah, Yoshihiko Yano, and Ed Wittig, who were appointed last year to expand the firm's reach in the region.

Currently, Bathija serves as the head of the consumer and retail business for Goldman Sachs in Asia (excluding Japan) and is also the Chief Operating Officer of the Asia M&A team. Additionally, he is a member of the Asia Investment Banking Operating Committee and the Asia-Pacific Conduct Committee.
