Japanese and Korean Stock Markets Open Higher, Boosted by Auto and Machinery Stocks

Japanese and Korean stock markets opened higher, with the Nikkei 225 index rising by 0.7% to 35,962.80 points. The increase was led by gains in the automotive and machinery sectors. Meanwhile, South Korea's KOSPI index saw a 0.2% increase, reaching 2,551.23 points.
