DTE Energy (DTE) has announced the completion of construction at the Pine River Solar Park, an 80-megawatt renewable energy facility located in Pine River Township, Michigan. The park, which features more than 180,000 solar panels, is set to provide clean energy to approximately 20,000 homes when it becomes fully operational in spring 2025.

This development is a part of DTE's CleanVision MIGreenPower program, Michigan's largest community solar initiative. Pine River Solar is the second of three new solar parks planned to connect to the grid by 2025, with five additional parks currently under construction. This expansion is a critical component of DTE's strategy to reach net zero carbon emissions and comply with Michigan's 2035 renewable energy goals.

The Pine River Solar Park will also offer substantial economic benefits to the local community, providing significant tax revenue to Gratiot County and Pine River Township. These funds will support essential services such as roads, schools, and first responders. Since 2009, DTE's renewable energy initiatives have contributed to the creation of approximately 20,000 jobs in Michigan.

DTE, a key player in renewable energy, currently powers over 750,000 homes with its wind and solar projects and aims to expand this capacity to nearly 6 million homes by 2042. The Pine River Solar Park solidifies DTE's standing as a leading investor and operator in the renewable energy sector and highlights its commitment to supporting community development and sustainability.
