The park, which features more than 180,000 solar panels, is set to provide clean energy to approximately 20,000 homes when it becomes fully operational in spring 2025.
This development is a part of DTE's CleanVision MIGreenPower program, Michigan's largest community solar initiative. Pine River Solar is the second of three new solar parks planned to connect to the grid by 2025, with five additional parks currently under construction. This expansion is a critical component of DTE's strategy to reach net zero carbon emissions and comply with Michigan's 2035 renewable energy goals.
The Pine River Solar Park will also offer substantial economic benefits to the local community, providing significant tax revenue to Gratiot County and Pine River Township.
