Bristow Group (VTOL) has entered into a long-term agreement with Sikorsky, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, to enhance support for its S-92 helicopter fleet. This collaboration is set to extend well into the next decade, providing Bristow with comprehensive aftermarket assistance under Sikorsky's Total Assurance Program.
The agreement outlines a predictable budget framework for Bristow, minimizing the risk of unexpected expenses while maintaining its S-92 fleet. Key features of the package include a Power-by-the-Hour arrangement, which is crucial for offshore energy services and search and rescue operations. Additionally, it covers costs for replacement parts and grants access to Sikorsky’s extensive network of global stocking locations.
Sikorsky has also improved the scheduled inspection intervals for the S-92 helicopter and included a one-time life extension for certain main gearbox housings. These measures aim to enhance the operational efficiency and longevity of Bristow’s fleet, supporting its global operations.
