Encompass Health Corp. (EHC) has announced the promotion of Patrick Tuer to the newly established role of Chief Operating Officer (COO), effective immediately. Previously the group president overseeing 69 hospitals across three regions, Tuer will now manage hospital operations across the entire organization, reporting directly to President and CEO Mark Tarr.
The promotion comes as Encompass Health experiences significant growth through its accelerated de novo program and capacity expansions of existing hospitals. Patrick Tuer has been with the company since 2018, holding various leadership roles including regional president and regional vice president, where he successfully drove volume growth, operational improvements, and enhanced patient outcomes.
