According to the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA), electric vehicle sales in Europe increased by 23.6% in March. Tesla (TSLA, Financial), however, saw a 28.2% decline in sales, with its market share dropping from 2.9% to 2% compared to the same period last year.
Overall car sales in Europe grew by 2.8% during the month. Among the largest markets in the European Union, Spain and Italy experienced sales growth of 23.2% and 6.3%, respectively. Conversely, France and Germany saw declines of 14.5% and 3.9% in car sales.
