Oshkosh Defense Europe B.V., alongside Oshkosh Defense, LLC, a business unit of Oshkosh Corporation (OSK, Financial), has been awarded a contract by the Netherlands Ministry of Defence to deliver 150 Dutch Expeditionary Patrol Vehicles (DXPV). This selection underscores Oshkosh Defense's role as a leading provider of military vehicle solutions globally.
The DXPV represents a specialized variant of the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) and is engineered to meet the Netherlands' specific requirements for their Future Littoral All Terrain Mobility – Patrol Vehicle (FLATM-PV) initiative. Highlighting the advanced capabilities of these vehicles, Pat Williams, Chief Programs Officer at Oshkosh Defense, noted their state-of-the-art mobility, speed, and interoperability with NATO forces.
Williams emphasized the DXPV’s high level of commonality with the JLTVs already in service with the U.S. Department of Defense and other NATO countries. This commonality promises to reduce logistics demands, enhance system performance, and streamline supply chain processes, thereby ensuring operational readiness and mission success.
Through this agreement, the Netherlands joins a growing list of nations, including the United States and several NATO allies, that operate the Oshkosh platform. Oshkosh Defense, as the sole original equipment manufacturer for the JLTV, continues to support allied countries with these critical vehicles.
