Lumicera Health Services, a leading specialty pharmacy solutions company, has announced a strategic partnership with Costco Wholesale Corporation (COST, Financial) to expand cost-plus specialty pharmacy offerings. This collaboration is designed to provide commercial employer benefit plan sponsors and Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) with access to high-cost medication therapies at a transparent, auditable cost.

Through this partnership, Costco Pharmacy will enhance its operations by leveraging Lumicera's decade-long experience in the acquisition and distribution of specialty medications that require specific handling, such as refrigeration. Lumicera's patient support model, which has achieved a world-class net promoter score of 85.5 in 2024, will be a cornerstone of this collaboration, ensuring robust, 24/7 patient support and tailored treatments by trained staff.

Richard Stephens, Senior Vice President of Costco Pharmacy, emphasized that the partnership underscores a shared commitment to transparency and member-centric service. By utilizing Lumicera's industry-leading patient support model, the collaboration aims to pass cost savings directly to customers, thus supporting better patient health outcomes.
