Nucor Corporation (NUE), North America's largest recycler, has announced significant changes in its leadership team within the Human Resources and Talent division, effective May 11, 2025. This strategic move involves the promotion of Thomas J. Batterbee, a seasoned veteran with 35 years at Nucor, to Executive Vice President of Human Resources and Talent. Additionally, Elizabeth Bledsoe, bringing with her a wealth of external expertise, assumes the newly created role of President of Human Resources and Talent.
Mr. Batterbee's long-standing career at Nucor began in 1989, during which he has held various pivotal leadership roles, such as General Manager of Nucor Building Systems Texas and most recently, President of the Vulcraft/Verco Group. His extensive experience at the company is expected to contribute significantly to his new responsibilities.
Elizabeth Bledsoe joins Nucor (NUE, Financial) as President of Human Resources and Talent, following her tenure as Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Chief People Officer at MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc. Her previous experience at Ingersoll-Rand plc, from 1996 to 2015, adds a fresh perspective to the team.
