XTI Aerospace (NASDAQ: XTIA) has announced the addition of Preston Dunlap to its Corporate Advisory Board. Dunlap, renowned for his previous role as the inaugural Chief Technology Officer and Chief Architect of the U.S. Space Force and Air Force, boasts an impressive track record, overseeing $70 billion in aerospace and defense programs and initiating over $250 billion in new defense endeavors.

Dunlap's strategic leadership is expected to bolster the certification and market entry of XTI's TriFan 600 aircraft. This innovative aircraft is designed to merge the efficiency of fixed-wing flight with the vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) capabilities of a helicopter, positioning it as a versatile solution in both commercial and defense aviation sectors.

The TriFan 600 is slated to revolutionize air mobility by offering a maximum cruising speed of 311 mph and a range of 985 miles, making it suitable for various applications, including medevac and emergency response. XTI Aerospace aims to capitalize on Dunlap's defense expertise to align the aircraft’s capabilities with both civilian and military needs, enhancing the company’s leadership in the aerospace sector.
