SolarEdge Technologies, Inc. (SEDG), a global leader in smart energy technology, has unveiled its latest innovation, the ONE Controller, at Intersolar Europe 2025. This device aims to simplify compliance with Germany's new §14a EnWG regulation for residential solar markets. It facilitates the integration of controllable energy loads by the utility, marking a significant step forward in energy management for homeowners and grid operators.
The ONE Controller, which is now available for order, enables German residential installers to commission solar and storage systems compatible with the country's Smart Meter system (iMSys). Tested at the EEBUS e.V. Living Lab in Cologne, it fulfills use case requirements necessary under the new regulation. Christian Carraro, General Manager Europe at SolarEdge, emphasized that the device offers a straightforward solution to the complex regulatory landscape, potentially lowering energy costs for homeowners by optimizing energy management.
In addition to regulatory compliance, the ONE Controller acts as an interface for the SolarEdge Home ecosystem. It supports integration with third-party EV chargers from brands like ABB, MENNEKES, and Wallbox, as well as heat pumps from Vaillant. Other heat pumps can be controlled through SG-ready compatibility, broadening the scope of smart home energy solutions.
At Intersolar Europe 2025, attendees can visit SolarEdge's booth (Stand 110, Hall B4) to learn more about the ONE Controller and other offerings. SolarEdge continues to lead in smart energy solutions by focusing on technological advancements that enhance solar energy's economic viability and prepare for a dynamic energy future.
