GeoPark (GPRK) has announced the appointment of Felipe Bayon as its new Chief Executive Officer and a member of its board of directors, with the transition taking effect on June 1, 2025. This leadership change comes after the current CEO, Andres Ocampo, decided to resign from his position for personal reasons.

Felipe Bayon, who previously led Ecopetrol (EC, Financial) between 2017 and 2023, brings significant industry experience to his new role at GeoPark. His leadership is anticipated to steer the company towards its strategic objectives while maintaining its growth trajectory.

Meanwhile, Andres Ocampo, who has been with GeoPark for over a decade as both CEO and CFO, will remain engaged with the company to facilitate a smooth leadership transition and ensure continued operational stability.
