  • 100% success in age verification and prevention of underage device activation.
  • 91% of users rated the IKE app as extremely or very easy to use.
  • Innovative use of blockchain and BLE technology for ENDS regulation and compliance.

Ispire Technology Inc. (ISPR, Financial) has announced the results of a groundbreaking Human Factors Validation Study conducted by their joint venture, IKE Tech LLC, on the first blockchain-based age-gating system for electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS). The study demonstrated a 100% success rate in age verification among 101 participants, with 0% underage users able to activate a device. The system also achieved 100% device deactivation after periods of inactivity.

The IKE system combines Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) chips, biometric authentication, and blockchain technology to create real-time access control for vaping devices. It has been designed to ensure adult-only access, addressing one of the most significant regulatory challenges in the vaping industry. The platform's features include geofencing, authentication protection, and real-time messaging capabilities, making it a robust solution for ENDS manufacturers.

The study's results highlighted not only the efficacy of the system in preventing underage access but also its user-friendly nature, with 91% of participants rating the app as extremely or very easy to use and only a 1% error rate in task attempts. The system's scalability and effectiveness could potentially set new standards for safety and compliance in the vaping industry.

IKE Tech, a collaboration between Ispire (NASDAQ: ISPR), Berify, and Chemular, is committed to using technology to improve public health outcomes and regulatory compliance. The findings of this study will be published on clinicaltrials.gov, aiming to provide robust evidence for the system's effectiveness in safeguarding adult consumer control while preventing youth access.
