Western Alaska Minerals (TSXV:WAM, OTC:WAMFF) has announced that it will undergo a name change to Alaska Silver Corp., effective April 25, 2025. This change is pending approval from the TSX Venture Exchange. The rebranding reflects the company's strategic focus on its Waterpump Creek Deposit, which holds an inferred resource of 75 million ounces of silver equivalent at a high grade of 980 grams per ton.

The company's shares will begin trading under the new name and CUSIP/ISIN (01176C109 / CA01176C1095) starting April 29, 2025, while maintaining its current trading symbols. Accompanying this change, the rebranded website alaskasilver.com is set to launch on April 28, 2025.

Alaska Silver plans to concentrate its 2025 drilling program on expanding the high-grade mineralization at the Waterpump Creek site and will continue the development of other critical minerals at the Illinois Creek Project. The Illinois Creek Project covers a 100% owned land package of 73,535 acres and includes significant exploration potential.

CEO Kit Marrs expressed excitement about the name change, emphasizing the company's commitment to leveraging the exceptional silver resources in the district and maintaining its focus on advancing silver assets while also developing other crucial minerals within the Illinois Creek project.
