Nissan (NSANY) has announced a significant drop in production both within Japan and globally. Over the April 2024 to March 2025 period, the company's global production suffered a year-on-year decline of 10.1%. Specifically, production within Japan fell by 11.5%, while production outside Japan saw a reduction of 9.8% compared to the previous year.
The automotive giant also experienced a downturn in sales figures. In March, global sales decreased by 3.4% compared to the same month last year. Over the entire year from April 2024 to March 2025, sales dropped 4.3% from the preceding year.
Nissan's export activity from Japan similarly faced challenges. March exports declined by 4.8% compared to the previous year. More broadly, exports from Japan over the April 2024 to March 2025 period witnessed a significant decrease of 12.7% year-on-year.
