- Trimble (TRMB, Financial) introduces a new integration between B2W Track and Trimble Siteworks, enhancing automated production quantity tracking for heavy civil contractors.
- The integration is designed to improve operational efficiency and accuracy in progress reporting by automating data collection and eliminating manual errors.
- Available in North America at no additional cost for existing licensees, it supports Trimble's vision of connected workflows.
Trimble (TRMB) has announced an innovative integration between its B2W Track and Trimble Siteworks software systems to streamline and enhance production quantity tracking for earthwork and civil contractors. This integration aims to automate the tracking of material production quantities, enabling contractors to efficiently compare actual production with planned figures. By automating this process, the integration not only increases efficiency but also eliminates potential errors traditionally introduced through manual methods such as phone calls and email communication.
The new workflow allows project managers to make quantity measurement requests in B2W Track. These requests are then automatically dispatched to field personnel using Siteworks software. The data collected from the field, with survey-grade precision, is transmitted back to B2W Track via Wi-Fi or cellular networks. This production quantity data can subsequently be transferred to systems such as Trimble Viewpoint Vista, Viewpoint Spectrum, or other third-party construction accounting systems, facilitating seamless data management between field operations and office management.
This integration is offered at no additional cost to existing licensees of both B2W Track and Siteworks systems in North America. It represents a strategic enhancement to Trimble's Construction One vision for interconnected job sites, ultimately simplifying the reporting process by providing an auditable progress trail for billable milestones.
By connecting previously separate software systems, Trimble is enriching its construction technology portfolio, potentially enhancing customer retention and creating cross-selling opportunities. This initiative aligns with the industry's shift towards integrated digital solutions that bridge data silos, addressing critical operational challenges such as timely and accurate production quantity tracking.
