- New Firefly Image and Video Models offer unprecedented realism and detail.
At the MAX London creativity conference, Adobe (ADBE) announced major advancements in AI-assisted creativity with the launch of the all-new Firefly app. The comprehensive platform integrates Adobe’s commercially safe Firefly models with partner models from Google Cloud and OpenAI to provide a robust environment for creators to generate images, videos, audio, vectors, and designs, all from a single hub. The latest additions include the Firefly Image Model 4 and Firefly Image Model 4 Ultra, which offer lifelike images with unmatched detail and realism, now generally available.
Firefly also introduces the Firefly Video Model, a cutting-edge production-ready video model that allows creators to generate 1080p video clips from text prompts or images. This new capability is celebrated by brands like PepsiCo/Gatorade and Stagwell for its ability to support production-ready content creation with detailed camera settings and atmospheric elements.
The platform's latest feature, Firefly Boards, is now in public beta, offering an AI-first surface for moodboarding and concept exploration, enabling collaborative ideation and rapid prototyping. Firefly Boards empower creative teams to align on creative concepts efficiently before moving into production.
Adobe has also enhanced its Firefly Services, introducing APIs like the Photoshop API and Text-to-Video API in beta, which are aimed at streamlining creative production workflows for businesses. These services have already been adopted by major brands such as Accenture, dentsu, and The Estée Lauder Companies to expedite campaign launches and enhance audience engagement through generative AI.
With over 22 billion assets generated globally using Firefly, Adobe positions itself as a leader in providing AI tools that enhance, rather than replace, human creativity. These innovations are available through Firefly's web app, with a mobile version coming soon. More information on Adobe’s approach to AI and its Firefly offerings can be found on their website.
