Toyota's Overseas Sales Surge Amid Tariff Concerns

Toyota Motor Corporation reported a significant increase in overseas sales for March, driven by a surge in North American demand ahead of impending U.S. import tariffs. The company sold 814,105 vehicles outside of Japan, marking a 6.7% rise compared to the previous year. This growth was primarily fueled by a 6.8% increase in North American sales, attributed to strong demand and the looming tariff impact.

Additionally, Toyota's global vehicle production rose by 9.1% year-over-year, reaching 880,476 units in March. This marks the third consecutive month of production growth for the automaker. The figures include production and sales of its luxury brand, Lexus.
