Jacksonville, Fla., April 23, 2025 — CSX Corporation (NASDAQ: CSX) is enhancing its industrial development efforts by adding 18 rail-served properties across 12 states to its Select Site program. These sites, chosen from collaborations with over 29 communities, have been assessed and rated gold, silver, or bronze to signify their readiness and potential for economic growth.

According to CSX Senior Director of Industrial Development Kellen Riley, the Select Sites are pivotal for economic expansion, offering businesses the advantage of connected rail infrastructure. “By bringing these sites to market with the right due diligence already in place, we’re making it faster and easier for manufacturers to invest, build, and create jobs for local communities,” Riley stated.

The designations include Gold Level sites such as South Coast Logistics Park in Middleborough, Massachusetts, and Montgomery Inland Logistics in Alabama. The Silver Level properties are distributed across Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and Alabama. Meanwhile, the Bronze Level sites span multiple states, further strengthening CSX’s market reach across diverse locations.

Notably, since the last round in 2024, four existing Select Sites have been upgraded, showcasing improved readiness for industrial use. This strategic expansion of CSX’s Select Site program not only boosts regional economic prospects but also shortens the time-to-market for manufacturers ready to invest in these pre-vetted rail-served properties.
