This appointment is slated to take effect after the closure of Uniti's merger with Windstream Holdings II, anticipated in the latter half of 2025. Harrobin, who formerly served as Executive Vice President for Consumer at Frontier Communications, led a $3 billion business unit that reported growth in customer base, revenue, and profit.
Harrobin is expected to spearhead operational, go-to-market, and financial strategies for Kinetic, which stands as a significant independent fiber-to-the-home platform in the United States. Uniti's President and CEO, Kenny Gunderman, emphasized Harrobin's role in maximizing Kinetic's market potential through his extensive experience in fiber transformation. Gunderman noted that this strategic leadership addition is essential ahead of the merger's completion, aimed at strengthening the platform's capabilities and growth trajectory.
