HP Inc. (HPQ) together with the HP Foundation has unveiled its 2025 Digital Equity Accelerator cohort, selecting 8 nonprofit organizations from Greece, Indonesia, Nigeria, and Spain. This initiative aims to bridge the digital divide by providing technological access and digital skills training to disconnected communities.
Each selected nonprofit will receive a $100,000 grant, HP technology valued at approximately $100,000, and six months of virtual training. This comprehensive support package aims to enhance their capacity to deliver impactful digital inclusion programs.
The Digital Equity Accelerator program, which has already assisted 27 organizations to expand their reach to over 9 million people in three years, is part of HP's broader ambition to foster digital equity for 150 million individuals by 2030. The initiative targets the over $1 trillion digital divide, a barrier to education and economic opportunities for billions worldwide.
Noteworthy organizations in this cohort include Socialinnov in Greece, Solve Education Foundation in Indonesia, She-Code Africa Women Tech Initiative in Nigeria, and AlmaNatura Foundation in Spain. These nonprofits are pivotal in empowering disconnected adolescents and adults with digital skills essential for thriving in a digital world.
HP’s commitment reflects its dedication to sustainable impact and economic inclusion, highlighting the necessity of equipping youth and adults with critical digital skills to ensure equitable access to opportunities in the future of work.
