Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (VSH), a leading manufacturer of discrete semiconductors and passive electronic components, has announced the release of the new ISOA200 thick film power resistor, designed for high performance in automotive, industrial, and aerospace applications. The ISOA200, housed in a compact SOT-227B package, is AEC-Q200 qualified, indicating its suitability for automotive standards.
The ISOA200 resistor is notable for its ability to handle high power dissipation up to 200W at an 80°C bottom case temperature. Additionally, it offers a wide resistance range from 10 ohms to 1 megohm, with maximum operating voltage of 1500V and operating temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. These specifications make it a versatile component for various applications.
Built on an exposed alumina substrate, the ISOA200 not only reduces costs and weight but also enhances its energy pulse handling capability, managing up to 140J for 0.1 seconds. This device is also designed to simplify production with the inclusion of an optional NTC thermistor for temperature monitoring and pre-applied Phase Change Thermal Interface Material (PC-TIM) for efficient mounting.
Vishay has announced that samples and production quantities of the ISOA200 are currently available, with lead times set at 12 weeks. This release is part of Vishay's ongoing commitment to innovate in the electronic components sector, serving a wide range of industries worldwide.
