NEW YORK, April 23, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Willis, a WTW business (Nasdaq: WTW), has announced the appointment of Harry Merker to a newly created dual leadership role focusing on Property and Casualty (P&C) and Alternative Asset Insurance Solutions (AAIS) in North America.
In his new position, Merker will spearhead broking growth initiatives within Willis' P&C sector and drive strategic sales efforts across 12 industry verticals. His responsibilities will also encompass overseeing the go-to-market strategy for Willis' AAIS vertical, managing carrier relationships, product development, and the delivery of market-facing content and service standards.
Merker will play a vital role in sales pipeline engagement and request for proposal (RFP) execution, collaborating with national and local sales leaders to propagate best practices across the P&C and AAIS broking business. His cross-selling efforts aim to connect clients to Willis' broader capabilities and specialized expertise. Furthermore, Merker will work closely with actuarial and analytics teams to evolve AAIS offerings and develop customized solutions for private equity firms and portfolio companies.
Bringing two decades of experience in the commercial insurance and broking sector, Merker is a seasoned professional with a proven track record in developing tailored solutions across various industry sectors. Prior to joining Willis, he was Chief Broking Officer – Middle Market at Aon, a role that saw him lead the firm's East and South Region practices. Based out of New York, Merker will report to Aartie Manansingh, Head of Alternative Asset Insurance Solutions, NA.
