Residents of Illinois can now benefit from user-friendly health stations through a strategic partnership between Modivcare Inc. (MODV) and Aetna Better Health® of Illinois. These innovative health stations will provide self-service health information and digital navigation, with plans to support telehealth capabilities in the future. The program is designed to improve healthcare access and equity for underserved populations in the state.
Initially, the health stations are being rolled out at five community partner locations, including Rincon Family Services and Westside Health Authority, with plans to expand to 15 locations. These stations offer community members no-cost access to health information and education on chronic conditions. Aetna Better Health of Illinois members can also complete health surveys and receive personalized recommendations, addressing care gaps and unmet health-related social needs.
Modivcare’s initiative enables individuals to better understand and monitor their health risks, and connect with educational programs. Collaborative efforts with Aetna are set to significantly enhance healthcare access for their 360,000 Medicaid members across 102 counties, through a focus on prevention, managing chronic conditions, and connecting to healthcare resources.
