SurgePays, Inc. (SURG) has elevated Derron Winfrey to the position of President, Sales and Operations. In his new role, Winfrey will oversee the company's growing sales organization, focusing on core offerings like LinkUp Mobile prepaid wireless service, prepaid top-ups, financial services, federal Lifeline programs, and the Clearline marketing platform.
With a strategic emphasis on expanding SurgePays' sales operations, Winfrey will spearhead the establishment of a new sales center in El Salvador. His responsibilities also include enhancing customer onboarding processes and improving overall customer experience through data intelligence. This new direction supports the company's efforts for the direct market launch of the LinkUp Mobile MVNO alongside AT&T.
Bringing over 25 years of experience in the fintech and wireless sectors, Winfrey joined SurgePays following its acquisition of ECS Prepaid in 2019, a company he founded. He has a proven track record, having served as president of Softgate Systems where he led the company to a significant 110% growth in volume.
