Ekso Bionics Holdings, Inc. (EKSO) has announced a strategic, non-exclusive distribution agreement with Bionic Prosthetics & Orthotics Group LLC (Bionic P&O). This partnership signifies Ekso Bionics' inaugural foray into the orthotics and prosthetics (O&P) industry, expanding its market reach through a leading national provider of prosthetic and orthotic solutions.

The Ekso Indego® Personal is a wearable, powered exoskeleton specifically designed for individuals living with spinal cord injuries (SCIs). It features a modular quick-connect design, allowing users to don and remove the device independently. Known as the lightest commercial exoskeleton available, it also offers an advanced gait mode that supports faster walking speeds, further enhancing user independence.

The alliance aims to leverage Bionic P&O's expertise in understanding market dynamics, reimbursement landscapes, and patient needs to effectively introduce the Ekso Indego Personal to the O&P community. This collaboration is seen as a strategic move to tap into a previously unexploited market segment that serves patients with mobility impairments.

"This exciting new commercial alliance with Bionic P&O aligns perfectly with our mission of improving health and quality of life through advanced robotics," stated Scott Davis, CEO of Ekso Bionics. Bionic P&O's Daniel Chan echoed this sentiment, highlighting the transformative potential of the device for SCI patients.

While this agreement marks a significant step in Ekso Bionics' expansion strategy, it remains a targeted approach given the specialized nature of the exoskeleton technology. The non-exclusive nature of the agreement also provides Ekso with the flexibility to explore additional partnerships within the O&P sector.
