The physical assembly of D-Wave Quantum Inc.'s (QBTS) Advantage2 annealing quantum computer has been completed at Davidson Technologies' headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama. This milestone marks a significant advance towards enhancing national security-focused quantum research, positioning Alabama as a key contributor to the United States' quantum infrastructure.

Upon completion of final calibration and readiness testing, the Advantage2 system will become the first on-site annealing quantum computer in Alabama. Hosted in a secure facility, the system is set to support the development of quantum optimization applications addressing mission-critical challenges, particularly in national defense.

The installation follows a multi-year collaboration between D-Wave and Davidson, underscoring Davidson's commitment to deploying innovative technologies for defense missions.
