CME Group Inc. (CME) has reported an all-time record-breaking financial performance for the first quarter of 2025. The company announced a revenue of $1.6 billion, marking a 10% increase from the same period in the previous year. This strong financial start is underpinned by an unprecedented average daily volume (ADV) of 29.8 million contracts, with notable growth observed across all asset classes.

Key financial highlights for the quarter include an operating income of $1.1 billion and a net income of $956 million. On an adjusted basis, the net income came in at $1.0 billion, translating to an adjusted diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.80, surpassing the initially reported diluted EPS of $2.62.

The company's robust performance was propelled by a 19% growth in commodities and a 12% rise in financials, with international ADV reaching a record 8.8 million contracts—a year-over-year increase of 19%. These figures underscore CME's effective global risk management strategy and its capability to capture growing market volumes amid economic uncertainties.
