Canterra Minerals Corporation, trading under the ticker symbols CTM and CTMCF, has announced significant advancements at its Boomerang Project in Newfoundland. The company has identified numerous new geochemical and geophysical targets, further expanding the project by acquiring the Hill Top massive sulphide target.
The Hill Top target stands out due to its promising mineralization. Historical grab samples from this area have yielded up to 1.5% copper, 4.68% zinc, and 16.5 g/t silver, indicating the potential for high-grade extraction.
Currently, the Boomerang Project boasts an existing resource base with indicated resources of 1.4 million tonnes. These resources are graded at 0.5% copper, 7.1% zinc, 3.0% lead, 1.7 g/t gold, and 110.4 g/t silver, presenting a strong foundation for future expansions.
The recent staking of a 475-hectare area, located approximately 7km northeast of the Boomerang-Domino deposit, consolidates Canterra's position in this promising region. The company is strategically expanding its presence in the Central Newfoundland Mining District, known for its rich VMS deposits.
For the year 2025, Canterra is fully funded for comprehensive exploration activities. The planned work includes state-of-the-art 3D Array Induced Polarization geophysical surveys and up to 10,000 meters of diamond drilling. This aggressive exploration program aims to further delineate high-priority targets and significantly enhance the project's resource base.
Canterra's expansion efforts reflect its commitment to leveraging its geological expertise for cost-effective growth and unlocking the full potential of its mineral-rich land holdings in Newfoundland.
