  • High-grade gold discovered: 49.4 gpt Au over 2.6m, including 153.9 gpt Au over 0.6m.
  • Additional gold found in historical backfill material: 5.1 gpt Au over 11.7m.
  • Successful completion of 8,460m grade control drilling program across 273 holes.

Maritime Resources Corp (TSXV: MAE) (OTC: MRTMF) recently announced the final drill results from its grade control drill program at the Hammerdown Gold Project located in Newfoundland and Labrador. The program, which focused on the Rumbullion zone, has yielded significant high-grade gold intersections.

The notable findings from the drilling include 49.4 grams per tonne (gpt) gold over 2.6 meters (m) with an impressive 153.9 gpt gold over 0.6 m in drill hole HDGC-25-235. This high-grade intersection demonstrates the rich mineralization present in the area.

The Rumbullion zone, located approximately 300m east of the primary Hammerdown deposit, is characterized by steeply dipping, shear-hosted quartz veins. The zone is part of an eastern extension of the same mineralized system and holds potential for further development.

A total of 8,460 meters of diamond drilling was completed in this program, encompassing 273 drill holes arranged in a 10m x 10m staggered pattern. This arrangement is strategically designed to optimize future ore extraction while minimizing ore losses and dilution.

Additionally, drill hole HDGC-25-241 revealed 5.1 gpt Au over 11.7m within backfilled stope material, indicating a potential for additional gold recovery from historically mined areas, which could enhance early-stage production plans for Maritime Resources.
