Krispy Kreme, Inc. (NASDAQ: DNUT) has announced a refreshed slate of directors for its Board, enhancing its strategic roadmap aimed at expanding its market presence. The new Board nominees will stand for election at the Annual Meeting on June 17, 2025. Renowned executive Bernardo Hees will be among the nominees, offering substantial experience from his tenure as CEO at Kraft Heinz Company and Burger King Worldwide.

In a move to bolster strategic initiatives, the company plans the formation of a Strategy and Operating Committee, to be chaired by Bernardo Hees. This committee is tasked with overseeing and supporting Krispy Kreme's growth strategies, focusing on expanding its U.S. operations profitably and pursuing capital-light international expansion.

Joining Hees as Board nominees are Patrick Grismer, former CFO of Starbucks, Easwaran Sundaram, former Chief Digital and Technology Officer at JetBlue, and Gordon von Bretten, Senior Partner at JAB Holding Company. Their combined expertise is expected to drive forward Krispy Kreme's operational efficiency and global expansion efforts.

CEO Josh Charlesworth expressed confidence in the new Board's potential to maximize shareholder value, stating, "Welcoming Bernardo to our Board at a pivotal time for Krispy Kreme will be invaluable as we seek to maximize shareholder value through our two largest growth opportunities." The company believes that the new leadership will help them achieve sustained value creation through disciplined global expansion and operational improvements.
