  • Southern Cross Gold (MWSNF, Financial) announces notable high-grade gold findings at the Sunday Creek project, Victoria.
  • Drill hole SDDSC158 reveals 28.6 meters at 10.3 g/t gold within a larger 100.5 meters section at 3.1 g/t gold.
  • The project scope expands with 167 drill holes totaling 77,426.9 meters since 2020, with more drilling ongoing.

Southern Cross Gold (MWSNF) reported promising results from ongoing drilling at its Sunday Creek gold-antimony project located in Victoria, Australia. Of particular note, drill hole SDDSC158 intersected 100.5 meters grading 3.1 g/t gold, including a significant section of 28.6 meters at 10.3 g/t gold, and an outstanding 1.4 meters at 142.2 g/t gold.

The Apollo prospect area, part of the larger Sunday Creek project, demonstrated improved mineralization with depth. This characteristic is typical of epizonal gold-antimony deposits, where mineral quality often increases deeper underground. The reported drill holes, including SDDSC149 and SDDSC149W1, detected mineralization between 80 and 120 meters below previously known zones, ranging from 400 to 700 meters below the surface.

The scale of Southern Cross Gold's project has seen significant growth, with 167 drill holes completed since 2020, covering a cumulative 77,426.9 meters. An additional 20 drill holes are currently being processed, and seven are actively being drilled, illustrating the company's commitment to expanding the project's mineralized footprint.

The drilling results affirm the potential for both narrow high-grade mining and selective bulk mining approaches, which could optimize resource extraction and improve overall project economics. The project's dual-metal profile, comprising both gold and antimony, enhances its strategic importance, particularly against the backdrop of recent restrictions in antimony exports from China.

Southern Cross Gold continues to advance its exploration and drilling efforts, aiming to further delineate the resource and enhance its geological understanding of this globally significant discovery.
