AuMEGA Metals (OTCQB: AUMMF) has announced the appointment of Mike Skead as President, effective May 1, 2025. Skead, who brings over 30 years of expertise in international exploration and mining development, will report to Managing Director and CEO Sam Pazuki. He will lead the company's exploration strategy and team activities, aiming to unlock additional shareholder value.

Skead's impressive track record includes his role as Vice President of Project Development at GT Gold Corp., where he played a pivotal role in the company's acquisition by Newmont Corp. for nearly C$400 million in 2021. His extensive experience spans leadership positions in major mining companies, including Newmont, Goldcorp, Dundee Resources, and Ashanti Goldfields.

This strategic appointment aims to bolster AuMEGA's standing in Newfoundland's mining district, particularly in the Cape Ray/Valentine Lake Shear Zone. This area is recognized as Canada's largest identified gold structure, with AuMEGA controlling significant district-scale projects. The company's efforts are supported by strategic backing from B2Gold and top-tier institutional shareholders.
