Onco-Innovations (OTCQB:ONNVF) announced the appointment of Dr. James Orbinski to its Scientific and Clinical Advisory Board. Dr. Orbinski, a former International President of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), is renowned for accepting the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of MSF in 1999. His vast experience in global health and humanitarian initiatives is expected to bolster Onco-Innovations' mission to advance cancer care.
Currently a Full Professor at the University of Toronto's Temerty School of Medicine, Dr. Orbinski has been instrumental in founding the Dahdaleh Institute for Global Health Research and leading MSF's Neglected Diseases Working Group. His initiatives with the Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi) have resulted in the development of 13 treatments for 6 deadly diseases since 2003.
An Officer of the Order of Canada, Dr. Orbinski's role will involve providing strategic insights into Onco-Innovations' scientific programs and helping expand the global impact of its oncology innovations.
