Ryerson Holding Corporation (RYI), a leading processor and distributor of industrial metals, has announced the election of Lt. Gen. Bruce T. Crawford, U.S. Army (Ret.), to its Board of Directors. With a distinguished military career spanning 34 years, Crawford served as the Chief Information Officer for the U.S. Army, where he was a principal advisor on enterprise IT and cybersecurity policy.

Following his retirement from the Army, Crawford held notable positions at Jacobs Solutions Inc., including Chief of Innovation and Senior Vice President for Strategic Development. He played a pivotal role in their government-focused Critical Mission Solutions division, which is valued at $5 billion.

Ryerson, with operations across the United States, Canada, Mexico, and China, is keen to leverage Crawford's expertise to optimize its operations and enhance the customer experience, aligning with the company's next-stage operational and financial performance goals. Steve Larson, Chair of the Board and the Nominating & Corporate Governance Committee, expressed confidence in Crawford's ability to contribute valuable insights into Ryerson's strategic growth ambitions.

Crawford holds an impressive academic portfolio, including a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from South Carolina State University, a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the National Defense University. His experience is complemented by his participation on several boards, including Foundation Risk Partners and Comtech Telecommunications Corp.
