D.A. Davidson & Co. has announced its role as the exclusive sell-side financial advisor in the sale of Stack’s Bowers Galleries to A-Mark Precious Metals, Inc. (AMRK). This transaction marks a significant move by A-Mark to expand its presence in the rare coins and collectibles market.

Stack’s Bowers Galleries, a heritage brand established in 1933, is recognized as the oldest rare coin auctioneer in the United States. The company operates two primary business units: an Auction Services unit that conducts in-person, internet, and specialized auctions, and a Dealership unit that maintains a sizeable inventory of rare coins and paper money for wholesale and direct-to-consumer sales.

According to Brian Kendrella, President of Stack’s Bowers Galleries, the merger with A-Mark is expected to enhance client services and drive accelerated growth. “D.A. Davidson played a pivotal role in supporting SBG through this sale process, culminating a long-term partnership,” Kendrella stated.

Dan Friedman, Managing Director at D.A. Davidson, expressed enthusiasm about the transaction, highlighting the transformative nature of the deal and the opportunities it presents for Stack’s Bowers Galleries within the larger framework of A-Mark Precious Metals.
