RCI®, the leading vacation exchange company, celebrated Earth Day by announcing the winners of its annual RCI Green Awards. This year, the program recognized nine affiliate resorts for their leadership in environmentally sustainable operations. The awards highlight innovative practices such as plastic-free operations, regenerative tourism approaches, and technology-driven resource management.

The 14th annual RCI Green Awards marks a notable expansion, now acknowledging exemplary environmental stewardship across three global regions: North America, Latin America/Caribbean, and Europe/Middle East/Africa/Asia Pacific. This expansion underscores the increasing worldwide commitment to sustainable practices in the vacation ownership industry.

Among the honorees, Club Wyndham Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort & Spa in Quintana Roo, and Los Amigos Beach Club in Malaga received the prestigious Platinum recognition.

RCI's Managing Director, Juan Ignacio Rodriguez, expressed excitement about the new regional categories that reflect how properties are tailoring responsible tourism principles to address local environmental challenges. The RCI Green Awards program is open to all RCI affiliates, with details on the 2025 application process to be announced in fall 2024.
