The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. (EL) has announced the appointment of Brian Franz as its new Chief Technology, Data & Analytics Officer, effective April 21, 2025. Reporting directly to President and CEO Stéphane de La Faverie, Franz will join the company's executive team.

Franz's appointment is a significant move as Estée Lauder embarks on its ambitious "Beauty Reimagined" transformation initiative. His deep expertise in modernizing infrastructure, building resilient and sustainable platforms, and advancing AI-driven capabilities will be pivotal in executing what is regarded as the largest technology and operational transformation in the company's history.

As the first person to hold this combined role, Franz will lead the strategic transformation of Estée Lauder's global data and technology capabilities. He will direct efforts to scale systems while ensuring their agility, and will oversee key teams such as Information Technology (IT), Digital Technology & Experience, and Enterprise Data. These teams will focus on platform integration and delivering personalized digital experiences to enhance business agility and consumer engagement.

Franz joins Estée Lauder from State Street, where he served as Executive Vice President and Global Chief Information Officer. His experience includes senior leadership roles at Diageo PLC and PepsiCo International. His strategic leadership and passion for innovation are expected to help Estée Lauder align its data and technology strategies more effectively, fostering a more agile and consumer-focused organization.
