Adtalem Global Education Inc. The achievement highlights the institution’s commitment to preparing competent physicians ready to address looming healthcare shortages and access issues in the United States.

More than 615 students and graduates from Adtalem's medical schools, the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine (AUC) and Ross University School of Medicine (RUSM), will begin their residency at over 325 health facilities across 42 U.S. states and territories. Approximately 450 students and graduates have matched into primary care residencies, with over 55% training in primary care Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs), addressing the needs of nearly 77 million Americans who lack adequate primary care access. Additionally, this year’s residency placements demonstrate Adtalem’s dedication to enhancing diversity in the physician workforce, with 173 students identifying as Black/African American or Hispanic, and more than 385 female students securing placements, which is significantly above the national average.

The placements span 26 specialties, including competitive fields such as Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Orthopedic Surgery.
