Valens Semiconductor (VLN) and ESWIN Computing have announced a strategic partnership aimed at delivering comprehensive MIPI A-PHY solutions to the Chinese automotive market. This collaboration will enable Chinese automakers to access locally manufactured, production-ready MIPI A-PHY chipsets, specifically designed for high-speed sensor and display connectivity.
MIPI A-PHY is the first automotive industry standard developed for in-vehicle high-speed sensor and display connectivity. The standard has shown rapid adoption in China, with seven silicon vendors having completed interoperability testing. Valens, a leader in this technology, offers the VA7000 Series chipsets and has already achieved OEM design wins, underscoring its competitive edge in the market.
The partnership leverages Valens' expertise in MIPI A-PHY technology together with ESWIN Computing's local market knowledge and technological capabilities. This joint venture is poised to support the growing demand for MIPI A-PHY products in China, marking a strategic market entry for Valens Semiconductor.
ESWIN Computing will showcase their joint solutions at the Auto Shanghai event, scheduled from April 23 to May 2, 2025. This platform will provide both companies with an opportunity to present their cutting-edge connectivity solutions directly to potential customers and stakeholders within the automotive industry.
According to Adar Segal, Head of Automotive Business at Valens Semiconductor, "MIPI A-PHY's pace of adoption in China represents a significant business opportunity, and our partnership with ESWIN Computing allows us to maximize this potential."
