Lowe's Companies, Inc. (LOW) has initiated a nationwide campaign, #BuildThanks, with an ambitious goal to collect one million thank yous by May 2, 2025. This campaign is designed to honor and acknowledge the efforts of first responders, volunteers, and nonprofits who actively participate in disaster recovery efforts across the United States, including recent occurrences of tornadoes, floods, and wildfires.
The initiative coincides with the reopening of Lowe's East Asheville store, significantly damaged by Hurricane Helene. The company’s red vest associates urge communities to participate by delivering thank you notes to the store or posting gratitude messages on social media using the hashtag #BuildThanks.
Lowe's commitment to disaster recovery is reinforced by a substantial investment of nearly $14 million dedicated to responding to Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Additionally, the company allocated $2 million towards relieving wildfire impacts in Southern California.
Customers and community members can contribute to this heartfelt movement by sending thank you messages to Lowe's of East Asheville, located at 89 Tunnel Road, Asheville, N.C. 28805, or sharing their appreciation on social media platforms. The culmination of this campaign will be showcased on May 3, presenting a collective gesture of gratitude nationwide.
