- Electromagnetic survey reveals potential new conductive plates at Benton's Great Burnt Property.
- Significant gold and copper mineralization found in recent drill results at South Pond and Great Burnt Main Zone.
- Benton Resources (BEX) holds a 70% interest in the Great Burnt Copper-Gold Project.
Benton Resources Inc. (BEX) has announced the completion of 70% of a planned 5 km surface Pulse Electromagnetic (EM) survey along the South Pond trend on its Great Burnt Property. The survey has revealed several new extensive conductive plates linked to known mineralized zones, pointing towards expansion potential near anticlinal fold crests.
Remarkable drilling results from South Pond have confirmed significant gold intersections, including 1.62 g/t Au over 43.75 meters in drill hole SP-24-03 and 1.88 g/t Au over 54.50 meters in hole SP-24-32. These findings underscore the mineralization's promising potential along a 2.3 km strike length at shallow depths.
At the Great Burnt Main Zone, Benton Resources has resumed drilling with noteworthy copper mineralization findings in hole GB-25-53 intersecting 0.77% Cu over 32.1 meters. This includes higher-grade zones of up to 4.34% Cu over 1.00 meter. The results motivate further exploration, targeting the identified down-plunge conductors.
Additionally, Benton plans more drilling around a new discovery beneath the North Stringer Zone, where recent results include copper grades of 0.69% Cu over 14.40 meters and 0.80% Cu over 15.00 meters. This area displays considerable expansion potential, indicated by an associated EM anomaly.
The company holds a 70% stake in the Great Burnt Copper-Gold Project, with Homeland Nickel holding the remaining 30%. Benton continues to advance its exploration efforts with the support of financial grants from the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Government's Junior Exploration Assistance program.
