Ceva, Inc. (CEVA, Financial) announced that Nextchip has licensed its NeuPro-M Edge AI Neural Processing Unit (NPU) IP for next-generation advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) solutions. This strategic move aims to boost automotive safety systems with enhanced AI capabilities.

The NeuPro-M NPU is specially designed to support Vision Transformers (ViTs), providing superior performance for ADAS vision systems, including tasks such as object recognition and Free Space detection in complex environments.
Ceva's NeuPro-M architecture is characterized by scalable processing capabilities ranging from 4 to 400 TOPs per core, supporting a variety of data types and formats for neural network optimization. With integrated Digital Signal Processing (DSP) capabilities and a comprehensive AI software development kit (SDK), the NeuPro-M facilitates efficient implementation in automotive safety applications.
